Cumberland County Public Library is a private 501(c)3 non-profit institution governed by a Board of Trustees. Board meetings are announced on this web site and posted in the Library. Regular meetings are held on a quarterly basis.

Special Programs

Great Book Characters Scavenger Hunt: Hidden around the Children’s Department during September are 10 pictures of book characters. Find all 10, match the book to the picture, and turn it in. Guess all 10 correctly and pick a prize from our treasure chest!

Great Teen Books Scavenger Hunt: Hidden around the Children’s Department during September are 10 QR codes that will link teens to a great book. Find and scan all 10 QR codes, write down the title of the book or series, and turn it in to enter our raffle for free movie tickets.

LEGO® Fun: Friday, October 9 from 3:00-4:30 PM for grades 3+. Drop in to build with LEGO® bricks and have your creations displayed in our display case.

Family Movie Night: Tuesday, October 13, 6:00 PM. Come watch a movie as a family with popcorn and drinks provided by the library. Registration required.

Thinking of You Cards: Drop in during November to make a card for a resident of Douglas Manor. Supplies will be provided.

Not sure where to start to find the information you need? Not sure how to make sense of what you have found? Please ask — that’s what we’re here for! CCPL has two full-time and one part-time staff, as well as many well-informed, friendly, helpful volunteers.

Computing

CCPL provides free high-speed internet access and Microsoft Office word-processing on eleven (11) public access PCs. The library also has wireless internet access available to those who have their own wireless-ready device.

Faxes: $1.00 per page

Lamination: $1.00 per foot, minimum of $1.00

Our library could not be operated without the services of many fine volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by and fill out an application.
Join the Friends!

The Friends of the Cumberland County Public Library are always looking for members! A tax exempt, not-for-profit organization made up of friends and neighbors who have joined together to support and promote the library as a vital resource in the county. There is one annual meeting, held in October of each year. Membership applications may be picked up at the library. The three types of yearly membership are:

Individual – $5.00
Family – $10.00
Business or Patron – $15.00
